- Slam Specialties Airbags are high quality, high performance Airbags with an 8" size currently available that has a maximum 200psi in the model RE-8 airbags. The Slam Specialties airbags RE-8 model is sized and bolt pattern compatible with Firestone air springs. Size and bolt pattern is where the similarity ends. Slam Specialties RE-8 airbags are constructed with steel bead rings within specially-designed dual-end closure plates. All of the RE-8 airbags have plates that are permanently bonded (instead of clamped or crimped) to a technically advanced non-ballooning rubber bellows, making it virtually impossible for the plates to separate from the rubber - even unrestrained at the 200psi rating in the airbags.
- Higher pressure airbags: More than twice that of other manufactures.
- More stroke in the airbags: Useable from its absolute minimum to its absolute maximum.
- No Ballooning with the airbags: All models are at their maximum diameter at zero pressure, and as their stroke increases the diameter decreases.
- Faster Lifting airbags: 1/2" ports and no ballooning means all the force goes up, you get faster lift with lower pressure.
- Internal bump stops in the airbags: This standard feature keeps our Airbags from self-destructing at zero pressure.
- Stronger and stiffer airbags: No more uncontrolled bouncing or swaying while driving. In fact, if installed properly, Slam Specialties' Airbags will equal the ride of a luxury car.
- Competition grade airbags: Superior performance to hop higher measured in feet not inches, dance faster, and give more stroke to clear those 24s.
- The airbags model RE-8 has a 200psi rating with a single 1/2" NPT port and a usable 9" stroke. The primary application use for the RE-8 airbags are load assist and vibration isolation for the best use in cars, trucks, trailers, and equipment.
